  9. Give 1 tablespoon of Soy Sauce.
  10. Need 1 tablespoon of Mirin.
  11. Prepare 1/4-1/2 teaspoon Salt *OR as required.
  12. Require 1 teaspoon of Grated Ginger.
  13. Need 1 teaspoon - Sesame Oil.

Nashville hot sauce is a little sweet and very spicy. As for seasoning, tofu can take on any taste, so consider marinating tofu in a classic barbecue or chimichurri sauce for chicken-inspired flavor. You can also opt to create a batter to make a tofu dish that's reminiscent of fried (or Nashville hot-fried) chicken, chicken nuggets or chicken tenders. While the tofu is pressing, make the marinade: In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, salt, grapeseed oil, hot sauce, soy milk, and apple cider vinegar.

  1. Place Water in a pot about 5cm deep, gently place Tofu pieces, and add more Water to cover if required. Slowly heat over medium heat. When it started boiling, it’s ready to serve..
  2. Meanwhile, heat the sauce ingredients in a saucepan. Alter the amount of Salt depending on the saltiness of the Chicken Stock..
  3. When it is boiling, add thinly sliced Chicken and Spring Onion, cook for a few minutes. Mix Potato Starch and Water in a small bowl and gradually add, stirring, to thicken the sauce..
  4. Add the lightly whisked Egg slowly in a circular motion into the boiling sauce, gently stirring..
  5. Pick up hot Tofu using a slotted spoon or small skimmer, and place in a serving deep plate. Cover with the Chicken & Egg mixture, sprinkle with saved Spring Onion, and serve hot..

Tear the tofu into bite-size pieces that resemble chicken tenders or nuggets. Add the tofu to the marinade and stir to coat. Freezing the tofu changes the texture so it is super meaty. Marinated in vegan buttermilk and hot sauce. Dredged in a very flavorful flour mixture, then fried to golden brown perfection!
