- Clean, wash and soak chana dal in water for 2 hours..
- After two hours drain the water..
- Blend 1/3 chana dal in a mixer to a coarse dal without using water. 1/4 dal roughly crushed..
- Add dal in a bowl..
- Add ginger paste, Chopped onions, coriander leaves, asafoetida, green chilli and salt and pepper in it. Mix properly..
- Heat oil in a pan..
- Divide the mixture in to equal portions & round them. 8. Press these balls between ur palm..
- Deep fry the vadas on medium flame, till they become golden and crispy..
- Drain out on absorbent paper and serve hot green chutney or tomato sauce..
